THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE

Wear Point 55 is a new, proposed development that will create more than 1300 jobs and see a major manufacturing and commercial site transform farm land, on the north side of the River Wear in Sunderland.

The development company and land owners behind Wear Point 55, Town End Farm Developments (TEFD) – submitted a planning application to Sunderland City Council in September 2016, which if approved, will bring to life the vision they have for the site. This comprises the potential for two new factories for Tier 1 suppliers to Nissan as well as a commercial hub offering retail, hotel and leisure.

If the planning submission is given the go-ahead, construction will begin and first occupiers potentially on-site by the end of 2017.
